Here is a recipe for another one of my favourite recipes – easy and quick to put together and at a fraction of what it would cost to get it from a deli!
Try it and enjoy!
Creamy Horseradish and Dill Dip:
8 oz. of cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup of prepared horseradish
2 tablespoons of whole milk
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons of fresh dill, chopped
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, horseradish, milk and salt until flyffy. Stir in the dill and serve with your favourite dippers.
Hope you enjoyed this recipe – please send in your comments and suggestions, you input is always welcomed!
Cooks use the terms “horseradish” or “prepared horseradish” to refer to the grated root of the horseradish plant mixed with vinegar. Prepared horseradish is white to creamy-beige in colour. It will keep for months refrigerated but eventually will darken, indicating it is losing flavour and should be replaced. The leaves of the plant, while edible, are not commonly eaten, and are referred to as “horseradish greens”.;
