Yes – it is hot out there! But when you think about it, it is July and it is actually what we have all been waiting for. Wondering what to do this weekend in Waterloo Region? Other then finding some water to cool down with, there are a few interesting events I am thinking about checking out – maybe you do as well:

Summer Concerts at Castle Kilbride
These concerts run from July 7 to August  18,2011. You can bring your own lawn chair, sit on the front lawn of Castle Kilbride and enjoy unique music. There is no set admission price, but donations are most appreciated. The time – 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Playing at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse from July 20 to August 7,2011. This is a killer comedy about a tangled love triangle between a ditzy wife, her car salesman husband and their buffoon dentist. It all happens in a totally normal hotel room and you can be sure it will keep you in stitches. Whatever happens, whoever does or doesn’t get murdered – you will enjoy this one!

Did you ever wonder what it feels like to get close to bats? Well – if you did, here is your chance to find out! The exhibition looks at the reality of these creatures, reveals the truth behind the myths and explores the diversity of species in Ontario. You will find out about their habits like hibernation, flight patterns and their fascinating use of echolocation. All of this and more adds up to a interesting and educational experience.
The admission to the exhibit is included with the admission to the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory.
Enjoy your weekend, stay cool and make sure to send me your comments, suggestions a experiences!
