There are days you just feel like treating yourself – and others of course – to a special dessert. For that occasion, try this Double Chocolate Cheesecake and you will not be sorry! Topped with fresh berries or real whipping cream – or both – it is truly a sweet experience!
Double Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 18 cream filled chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed (about 1-1/2 cups)
- 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted
- 4 packages (8 oz each) of Philadelphia cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 8 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup of blueberries (or berries of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
 Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325F
- Mix cookie crumbs and butter, press mixture into bottom of 9-inch of spring from pan
- Bake for about 10 minutes
- Beat cream cheese. Sugar and vanilla with electric mixer until well blended
- Add melted chocolate, mix well
- Add eggs, one at a time , mixing on a low speed after each addition just until blended
- Pour over crust
- Bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour until centre is almost set
- Run knife around rim of the pan to loosen cake, cool before removing rim
- Refrigerate for 4 hours
- Top with berries just before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar
